In Year 2000 Millennium New Year’s Celebration, there was Firework Displays in Havering. The Years Eve 2000 celebrations built on the successful events at the start of the year which saw London and 21 other cities and towns hosting lottery funded celebrations at the start of the year. The celebrations, which spread from Plymouth to Inverness and from Belfast to Nottingham saw over 4.5 million people, enjoy a wide range of public entertainments, musical performances, light shows and fireworks.

London is one of 32 towns and cities across the UK which will enjoy celebrations on New Year’s Eve funded by Millennium Commission lottery money.
